Terms & Conditions

1. Interpretation:

– In these terms and conditions (“Terms”), “We”, “Us”, or “Our” means Guidelines Driving School.
– “You” or “Your” means you, the customer.
– These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between You and Guidelines Driving School regarding the provision of driving lesson tuition.
– By accessing or using our services, including booking lessons online, You acknowledge that You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Driving Lessons Tuition with GDS:

– Guidelines Driving School provides driving lesson tuition through our network of trained instructors (“Driving Instructors”).
– By booking driving lessons with Guidelines Driving School, You enter into a contract with Your assigned Driving Instructor for the provision of driving tuition.

3. Our Driving Instructors:

– All our Driving Instructors are trained and legally permitted by the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) to provide driving lessons.
– Each Driving Instructor operates as an independent contractor under a franchise agreement with Guidelines Driving School.

4. Eligibility:

– To register as a learner with Guidelines Driving School, You must be 17 years or older, or 16 years old if in receipt of the appropriate allowance.
– You must hold a valid UK provisional driving license and be legally entitled to drive in the UK.

5. Responsibilities:

– It is Your responsibility to ensure You hold the appropriate driving license and meet the eligibility criteria for driving tuition.
– You agree to treat Your Driving Instructor with respect and adhere to their instructions during lessons.

6. Lesson Cancellation or Amendments Policy:

– You must provide a minimum of 36 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling of driving or theory lessons.
– Late cancellations or amendments may result in being charged the full lesson fee.
– Unused lessons can be refunded if requested within 6 months from the date of purchase; however, no refunds will be issued outside of this time period.
– If You fail to attend a lesson without prior notice, You will be charged for the full duration of the lesson reserved.

7. Refund Policy:

– Refunds for unused lessons are subject to approval and must be requested within 6 months from the date of purchase.
– Block lesson package discounts are applicable upon completion of the entire package; partial completion may result in lessons being charged at the standard hourly rate.
– Gift cards and vouchers must be used within 6 months of purchase and are nonrefundable.

8. Regular Lessons:

– Learners must book lessons at least once every two weeks to remain active on our pupils’ list.

9. Lesson Transfers:

– Lesson transfers must be requested in writing to Guidelines Driving School.

10. Complaints Procedure:

– Any complaints regarding Driving Instructors should be directed to Guidelines Driving School through our official channels.

11. Fast Track and Intensive Courses:

– Fast track or intensive courses can only be confirmed after an assessment by Your Driving Instructor.
– If deemed test-ready by Your Instructor, You may reserve a slot for the test day.
– If not deemed ready, Your Instructor may advise rescheduling or prohibit the use of the company car on the test day.

12. Lesson Fees:

– All lesson fees must adhere to the pricing listed on our website.
– Driving Instructors cannot overcharge customers without prior agreement.

13. Price Changes:

– Guidelines Driving School reserves the right to change tuition fees with prior notice.

14. Discounts and Packages:

– Discounts on lesson packages are applicable upon completion of the entire package as specified.

15. Test Day Fees:

– Test day fees vary depending on the timing and notice provided. Regular customers are charged £75, while short notice or early morning slots incur a fee of £105.

16. Communication of Test Day Booking:

– Learners must communicate test day bookings with their Instructor for coordination and confirmation.

17. Payment Methods:

– Tuition payments can be made online, via business PayPal, bank transfer, or cash payment directly to instructors.
– Payments made directly to instructors in cash will not involve Guidelines Driving School in
case of disputes.

18. Cancellation Policy Enforcement:

– If You provide two late cancellation notices, Your Driving Instructor may remove You from their learners’ list.

19. Instructor Compliance:

– All Driving Instructors must adhere to the terms and conditions set forth by Guidelines Driving School and the DVSA.

20. Identity Verification:

– Driving Instructors must provide their real identity and badge number to customers upon request.

21. Prohibited Activities:

– Using unauthorised brand names or engaging in verbal or physical abuse is strictly prohibited and may result in termination of the contract and legal action.

22. Booking Records:

– Driving Instructors must maintain accurate records of learners’ names and proof of payment.

23. Vehicle Restrictions:

– Smoking inside the instruction vehicle is strictly prohibited.

24. Payment Terms:

– Payment for lessons must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson unless otherwise agreed upon.

25. Agreements:

– All agreements must be confirmed in writing or verbally.

26. No-Show Policy:

– If You fail to show up for a lesson, You will be charged for the full duration of the reserved lesson.

27. Logo and Advertisement Usage:

– Unauthorised use of Guidelines Driving School’s logos and advertisements is prohibited.

28. Termination of Franchise:

– Using Guidelines Driving School’s branding after the termination of the franchise agreement is illegal and may result in legal action.

These Terms and Conditions outline the rights and responsibilities of both Guidelines Driving School and its customers. By booking lessons with us, you agree to abide by these terms.
